Project Overview
The Boat House apartments and the refurbishment of the historic Purifier House, a Grade ll listed building which was an old gasworks, form part of the redevelopment of Bristol Harbour.
Following a recent fire risk assessment, it was clear the wooden-clad apartment building could easily combust in the event of a fire. We were tasked to design, supply, install and commission a new wireless fire alarm and detection system in the block of 10 waterfront apartments.
Quality Control
Quality control checks are vital to check the system’s functionality and operation.
- All devices were 100% bench-tested in the factory before delivery.
- All devices were pre-programmed by Eurotech prior to delivery to the site. This enabled Adept’s engineers to simply install the infrastructure and field devices, saving time on-site whilst installing and commissioning the fire safety system.
- The communal area on the building was not enclosed, so an IP-rated enclosure was required to protect the CIE.
We successfully designed, installed and commissioned a state-of-the-art wireless fire detection and alarm system at The Boat House in Bristol.
